Amp dead

Hullo,

I have a Marshall JCM 600 valve amp and I'm getting no sound out of it at all. I thought I'd blew one of the valves but when I turn it on they're all glowing as normal. The fuse is fine too. I just get absolutely no sound from it at all.

Any ideas? It's not my guitar or my leads either.

Take it to a shop I guess, it might be a power amp valve, or a dodgy connection to the speaker, is there any hum or anything?

they would still glow even if blown if im not mistaken?

im no expert on tubes - but as far as im aware they glow because there heated (in order to work properly) and this is completely indepedant of the actual functionality of the tube, ie, they may still be being heated (and therefore glowing), and be dead

somebody who isnt just working off theory here please step in - I can find out properly tomorrow
