Hey, i rencently bought a Logitech G51 set and i've got it hooked up to my PC and TV.

However i am only getting a 2.1 when being used on the TV and it works fine on my computer.

When i change modes when useing it on the TV i do get a 5.1 but it does not sound right,

i think this is just the diffrent sound the diffrent effects make. After speaking to a friend he

suggested an amp should set it all straight, however both of us know little about amps and

was wondering if it's possible to link it to an amp and how much it would set me back.

sorry for any spelling errors its not a strong point of mine any advise is greatly apprecitaed.

Is the TV outputting a 5.1 signal, I'd be surprised if it does.

I'm guessing the output is stereo but you can spilt it to all speakers hence the not sounding correct.

If the TV can be configured for 5.1 output then great ... do it

Otherwise you need to by a digital settop box / DVD etc with a 5.1 output to connect through.

Most modern TVs will have 5.1 audio output but it will be through optical rather than anything else. The problem you're gonna have with connecting up a TV to this system is that you'll need to run it through an amp which has the outputs your speaker system needs. I don't have a lot of experience with amps but if you can find one with the correct connections and your TV has an optical output then that's what you need to get.
