Amp With Scart?

is there any amps around which has Scart inputs? if there is I guess it would be a old model which is fine. my uncle has a tv with one scart input broken, he could get a scart switch, but he also wants surround sound to watch DVD's so amp with scart inputs will be perfect for him.

Pioneer VSX-C402 is the last model I know of, but pioneers stopped making them. Why not just plug in a optical/Coaxial lead from said DVD player into any AV amp & the scart into the TV for piccy only & Robert is your parents close relative!

Unless they've added it in recent years scart can only do stereo...

thanks Grimley will see if I can that model anywhere.

he only has one scart input on his tv and his virgin box, other sat box and vcr uses scart. using a amp like the Pioneer VSX-C402 which has scart inputs, he can connect the cable, sat and vcr to the amp and then the output scart from the amp to the tv and simply switch sources using the remote control. he will connect his dvd and xbox to the amp via the optical lead for surround sound.

This plus cables would allow him to plug all the devices into a more modern AV amp/receiver that only has the RCA sockets on it, no?

Stick one of those into the scart out sockets on each device then plug them all into the back of the av receiver in the neccessary slots like these?

I currently have a Pioneer VSX-C301 5.1 channel amplifier which I am about to sell (just haven't got round to putting up on the Members Market or on an aution site).

As you can see it have a full set of scart inputs. It is a very good amp.

Does his dvd, vcr and stb's have svideo out and the TV have svideo in? if so, surely any amp would do provided it had enough svideo inputs? All your sound would have to go through the amp but I suppose that would be ok
