Evening all. After little help after owning my Ruark MR1's for my desktop for 3 years which are on stands. ive decided to pass these on to a relation with the DAC. Even though i do love the Ruarks think its time for a change now. Im after a small Amp with USB and small speakers. This is for the bedroom for music and movies for me and the Mrs High res would be nice for TIDAL looking around the £600 for Amp and pair of speakers

A viable option, but the cost of that amp far outweighs that of the speakers. Sevenoaks have the D3020 at £450 by itself.

I'd be more inclined to spend more on the speakers than the amp, or at least nearer 50/50. Speakers such as the QA 3020 don't need a £450 amp. Admittedly though, it's not just amp; having a DAC as well.

Maybe a Denon/Marantz streamer/amp unit would be a viable alternative for around £200 less; leaving more money for the speakers.

Given you've got something to upgrade from, best to visit any local audio store and listen some kit within budget. Some brands will appeal to you more than others.

I picked up the Denon PMA-50 amplifier a while ago and I'm really pleased with it so far. I'm still running my Klipsch Promedia speakers through it but plan on adding a sub at some point soon.

That Denon PMA-50 looks perfect the Mrs likes the look of the QA concepts in white with the white stands which will take it well over budget but it will look and should sound nice
