This is crazy. What could be more intrinsic to the artistry of filmmaking than these two crafts? I'm actually shocked somebody thought this was a good idea. I hope there's a massive backlash from filmmakers.

They've reversed the decision, but who cares about the annual Hollyweird popularity contest anyway?

As someone who works in the industry and admires the craft and logistics of getting a movie made, err me? I don't understand why people)e hate on the Oscars so much. Nobody forces anyone to watch it and it's only once a year!

Every award is important. without cinematography and editing, a film cannot be entertaining.

That's quite an understatement there! Without cinematography no film would ever be shot, without editing no film would be less than a few 100 hours long

And Alfonso Cuaron won Best Cinematography for totally dull, black and white, right-to-left tracking shots? It's the Oscars, these things happen.

What I'm more outraged about is that Adam Lambert is famous, at all. He doesn't deserve to get on stage at your local Conservative club to sing karaoke, let alone on stage with Queen.
