Amplifier with timed on/off, OR amplifier with on/off depending on signal

Hi,

I currently have a Denon amp, connecting my Humax freeview box to my monitor.

If I watch TV on my Humax, I can set a sleep mode & wake up timer on the Humax box. But during the times my Humax is off, the Denon amp is still awake and sending a signal to the monitor, and keeps the monitor alive (but displaying a blank picture). As it's in my bedroom, the bright blank LED light is annoying.

I'm wondering if there is an amp that can either a) have a timed sleep mode where it doesn't send an HDMI feed during overnight hours, or b) have an automated mode where if no signal is received (i.e. the Humax box is asleep/off) it doesn't send an HDMI signal to my monitor, hence the monitor will also enter sleep mode.

Obviously b) is my preferred solution, so does such an amp exist?

Thanks

How much power does the Humax box draw when it's in standby? I play media through my PC at night which turns the screen to standby after whatever media is playing but still left the amp on. I bought an Energenie power extension lead (ENER017) that would sense when the screen went in to standy (power draw) and cuts the power to speakers/accessories plugged in. The downside is it's really sensitive to power draw and wouldn't power down if there was anything (including keyboard/mouse) connected to the screen's USB ports.
