Amsterdam Airport - Restaurants in Hoofddorp

Anyone been stuck at a Schiphol/Hoofddorp hotel for a couple of days? Got any restaurant recommendations in Hoofddorp? I'm hoping the-evaluator will hook me up with a great place, just like his Brussels Airport revelations, but all suggestions are welcome.

Not an area I know very well I'm afriad. Whenever I arrive at Schiphol I'm straight on a train down south. On the odd occasion I've stayed overnight near Schiphol I've eaten in the hotel.

If you find yourself in Eindhoven I can make a few suggestions though.

It is twenty years since I was at Philips Eindhoven. Might go to the uni, TUe, later in the year. Nvm.

It's only 20mins or so on the train to Amsterdam Centraal isn't it?

From the airport itself, yep. This hotel is more Hoopddorf than airport. It'll be 2130 by the time I check in. I probs could go Central but faffy rushiness doesn't appeal. I'll stroll round the town and prolly end up with a bottle of red for dinner.

As expected, I got a salad box in the airport (no fork, had to use fingers) and a bottle of red. Checked in at 2230 CEST. Too late for anything. Also had a mare on the plane, spilled vino rosso all down my jeans and they're my only pair. Soaking in the sink, will have to wear them to dry.

Or take a bin bag, poke two holes in it and wear it as a boozy trouser tabbard until you fall asleep.

Single laptop shoulder bag didn't allow the luxury of many clothes. I had emergency boxers (lol at the implication), socks, and t-shirt but just one pair of jeans and one jumper. Bag was brimmers. Found an Italian in Hoopddorf tonight and it was underwhelming. Not even gonna mention the name.
