A heads up to anyone looking for an alternative to the slow and invasive Epic client - there is an opensource Heroic Games Launcher. The interface is very similar, it uses your Epic login, syncs with all(?) Epic games, cloud saves and so on - but without the slow loading times, bloat, being forced to install EOS Epic Online Services, UAC permissions and other such bad stuff. https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher

No need to reinstall games, jsut click on the yellow arrow under each game in your Heroic Launcher library, select import game and find the game folder.

Thanks, I'll check it out, but I think the GOG Galaxy Launcher is the best launcher so far which also supports EPIC, Steam, UPLAY and Origin games.

GOG Galaxy just adds yet another launcher. If you launch a game on, say, Epic from the Galaxy launcher it still opens the Epic launcher, so you now have two launchers running rather than just one. I don't see the point in that.

I am tempted to get rid of GOG Galaxy and Epic Games Launcher and replace with the Heroic Launcher. I like that it doesn't need another launcher to be installed and launched when clicking play.

Works great on Steam Deck too.
