An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

Not had a play around with RTX HDR yet, looks like I might need to.

Disable HDR in Windows and then just enable RTX HDR in the Nvidia App?

Bethesda announced the oblivion remaster has already sold 4 million copies

The first comment I saw on Twitter under the announcement is from an account called "evil transgender girl" and the post accuses Bethesda of promoting and funding a genocide

Type in console

Altar.DLSS.Enabled 1
Altar.DLSS.FG.Enabled 1
Altar.DLSS.Quality 4 (for DLSS quality)

And fixed with much improved performance for me, I went from 50-70 range to 85-110 same settings.

There's settings for FSR too, start typing Altar.FSR in console and the commands show up.

Only issue with this is that it disables the achievements on the Xbox app which sucks (it advises you of this in the console when you bring it up). Game was working fine prior to last nights patch now it runs sub 60 fps as it's Totally disabled DLSS, trying to force it on via Nvidia gives slightly better performance but not as much as prior to the patch breaking it I want the achievements so guess I'll be waiting until they fix it!

Achievement unblocker Mod fixes that problem.

Just put the file in the same folder as your game .exe

4 million players, not copies sold. Players include gamepass users (like myself) incl. people who just installed it, tried it for 5 minutes, uninstalled it.

That said, it is still very successful obviously.

Got this running really well now on max settings, 5080 etc and using a custom SpecialK set up for HDR which is great.

However, (and is this blasphemy to say this?) I'm finding it incredibly dull. Not feeling any 'nostalgia' either. I think the only thing that may get my interest is to try it in VR with the UEVR mod....

Beautiful game - tosh gameplay. Yep. I said it. The 20 year old gameplay does not hold up. I’ve dropped it and I don’t think I’m going back. What a snooze fest.

Aye, I'm feeling this. I quite like some 'remasters' but is this just lipstick on a pig? Polishing a turd? I don't mean that to sound harsh - I loved the OG Oblivion back in the day......but that was back in the day!

Wrapping UE5 botox around old games and old game engines is a dodgy tipping point of PC gaming I think we might have ahead.

Not sure what is going on with your end but definitely working here for me with the gamepass version:

Make sure you restart the game if you enabled it via the overlay first.

RTX HDR absolutely transforms the visuals as expected given HDR vs sdr but more so than usual in this game because with sdr, black level is still raised and looks washed out, rtx hdr sorts this out.

Hardware RT + RTX HDR + OLED + 240HZ + 4k DLSS Transformer model = the way it's meant to be played
Yeah, it started working the next day after a windows restart. Had restarted the game a few times to no avail. Just one of those instances of PC’s being weird :D
