An idea for the photo comp

Well I just had a passing thought about the whole photo competition and was wondering, why don't we have a "bonus round" running throughout the year with the theme being "2006" and this competition ends after the last round of the year?

I dont really see how this works. a bonus round of what ? 2006 can only be a real theme if its photo journalisim of events that year. Which is news covererd stuff really.

Sorry just doesnt seem to work for me. Besides this forum uses a rule of 3 stickies per sub forum.

"2006" doesn't jsut have to mean journalism and events of that year, it can what 2006 meant for you, your best photo that year, etc etc.

Was just a thought.

I think we'll have another Best of 2006 thread at the end of the year anyway. Like we did with 2005.

I think each of the winning photos each month at the end of the year should be given a public vote - for the overall best photo!
