I'm looking for an inexpensive Desktop computer to use in conjenction with a scanner on a large scanning job.

So just a plain home/office pre-built computer is all you need? Plenty of those about!

You could probably look for a cheap refurb HP or Dell tower PC if you really want to keep costs down.
