--An interesting 3850 vs G92 GTS Comparison--

So I just got an 8800GTS 512mb to replace my 3850...and my 3dmark06 results are very interesting.

Basically the overclocked 3850 (930core/1044mem) beats the stock 8800GTS by 8.5% at 1680x1050 with 8x AA. When I overclocked the 8800GTS to 792core/1944shader/1008mem it was just able to beat the 3850 by a little over 60 pts.

Without AA it's another story...

So far I've only played CoD4 and it's definitely faster...with the same settings (max everything and 4xAA 1680x1050) places where i was getting 40ish fps I now get between 55-65.

I wonder why 3dmark tells such a different story.

Hmm made me think that .just got a refund from a 3870 xt and was going to get a GTS after seeing them around the £200 to the door.Might just wait alittle longer now.

ATI cards are known to perform better in 3DMark, its not an indication of gaming speed, as u say GTS much faster in COD4
