Hey guys, (think the titles right) :p

Anyway, i was just thinking, the GTS is on par with the HD2900XT and beats it in some benchmarks for Directx 9 Games.

Now when DirectX 10 Games come up is their anyway, slight chance the HD2900XT will outperform the GTS?

Too early to tell.

By the time Directx10 games become viable (i.e. more than 1 game) there will be something to buy that is twice as good and costs the same.

Worry about whats good now.

I bought a HD2900XT because it plays all current games maxed out at my res and should play all future DX10 games at max (or close to) at my res of 1280x1024 for a good long time to come.

I read up on the architecture of the two cards and the 2900 seems to be more suitable for DX10 rendering but we won't really know if that's true or not until DX10 games come out.

That bench shows the hd2900xt to be on par with a gtx in dx 10 and i also
here that coh also shows the hd2900xt to be on par with a gtx so so far the
answer to the question is yes the hd2900xt looks like it has a better performance in dx10

Or, Never buy a piece of hardware you don't actually need right now, Save the money for when you actually need to upgrade. You will get something faster for the same money.
