So an email has just arrived claiming that a character transfer on my WoW account has failed. My account has been frozen for months so straight away I was puzzled.
Looked over the email and it was legit, but instead of clicking any links in the email I logged into my BNet account and was able to get in. My accounts are all still frozen but when I checked over my characters on Armory I noticed my lvl 85 lock was now on a diff server. Anyway from within BNet I went through the "I've been hacked" link and verified my details and reset the pass.
Have checked my bank and no transactions and there are no details stored on BNet anyway.
really puzzled how they can hack a frozen account and manage to get a toon transferred and if it failed as Blizz said in the email, how is it sitting on a new server and if the hacker really wanted my account why not change the pass. they wont have been able to get any gold as there is no game time.
