Hi guys,

So just replaced my home Sky+ box with a Sky+HD one as the plus box has knackered up, dead PSU or something I expect, Looking at it I can see that it has a lot of inputs, potentially usable ones like the coax inputs, which brings me to my next question, Could I use the Sky+ box as a kind of TV Tuner card? recording programmes and such? or is there no way to do this?

Thanks!

Rb

A Sky+ Box is basically a PC type machine so you'd think if you could get alternate software onto it then you could do something with it. Would be very tricky I'd imagine though even if it was possible, and getting it to interface as a TV tuner card might be asking a bit much.

It certainly isn't running on anything from Intel or AMD ;) and the board will have been designed to make hacking into it quite difficult.

But the OP has said the PSU has gone anyway....
