An Unexpected Error Problem with Network connection

Right guys every time i try to click properties on my network connections status page i get this error

I have tried the solution provided by Microsoft and it has made no difference.

I have also tried running sfc /scannow but that gives an error too

Anyone got an idea

In safe mode i am unable to remove the adapter it says Access Denied because the adapter is needed to boot the computer. And now rebooting in to normal session of XP i cannot use the adapter apparently there is a problem and it is unable to use the device.

The Desktop Pic is from the Desktops Thread and i dule boot Ubuntu and XP Pro for support calls to end users and gaming as Ubuntu dosent like new games much.

never used it as it only takes 2hrs to reinstall completely as i have just done.

nearly finished sorting it all out now so will crank up Acronis True Image (have owned it for ages but never used it

)when im done and creat an image. Have been meaning to do it for ages
