Currently specs:
amd 6000+ @ 3.1ghz
DDR2 8gb OC @ 960mhz
GTX 650

Looking for a new MOBO CPU RAM
looked around a bit and noticed AMD are a bit behind currently.
Intel has the new DDR4 which looks nice.
But CPU and MB's are a bit confusing.:confused:
Want something which is a bit future proof.

i have a large case Thermaltake Xaser III
The OS is on an samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB windows 7 64-bit
2 1TB RAID
1 4TB
An old IDE hard drive which i think is broken but i've just left it in..nothing on it lolz.
Computer will be used for everything from web browsing to games..
Current system can run Elite Dangerous like its nothing.
but as soon asu throw in a modded minecraft game....10FPS lolz due to CPU.

Yeah the Skylake's do look nice.
I wont be upgrading the GPU at this time. As i can save up money for that at a later date.
Was looking at them 6600k £210 could stretch the budget.
But need a good MB and RAM

OP said he already has an SSD.

Previous suggestions are good, but I would personally say that you should go with an i7 if you want your system to be more future proofed. I don't know how to post these fancy baskets people are doing but here would be my suggestion:

Some of the parts are currently out of stock so you might have to wait a little while. Point is, you can fit an i7 build into your budget, especially if you bide your time and check regularly until there are some deals on. Only get this motherboard if you're happy with 1 graphics card though. Being cheap on the RAM is a good strategy because it's really easy to add more or faster RAM a few years later to get a performance boost.
