Currently have a i9700k and z390 AORUS motherboard 32GB of 3200 DDR4. Cooled by a noctua d14? whatever the model was that fitted that....
EVGA 750W PSU too.... That could possibly need to go upto 1000W as ive also got a 4070ti super on the way.

I've got that itch and sadly i've had some good investments pay out and i'm looking for the "upgrade" Im not wanting to wait for next gen or even 3 months down the line unless its astronomically cheaper or better.
The money is burning a hole right now. :p

Ill need cpu, MB, Ram and a cooler, everything else is ill carry over, maybe not the case, but that's personal choice :p anyway.

Im open to Intel or AMD
32GB ddr5 Ram will be fine. 64 if its a particularly good deal.
Motherboard DDR5 PCIE 5 etc whatever is new this generation. 3 M2 slots (probably standard by now) WIfI a bonus but .... i know its extra cost
PSU? spec one in incase

So whos making decent stuff these days, Ive seen plenty of asus nightmares....

Spec me some components Intel and AMD this is more of a whats best/2nd best right now not a what do i on my PC (MOSTLY gaming lol) SO yes a 100000 core/thread cpu might just be ridiculous but if its a 100 or 200 quid/Krona more i really dont care (im lucky to have the money right now)

cheeers

Efour/Jeff

dONT WORRY too much about prices ill be paying top dollar in Sweden anyway :/

7800x3d is the best for gaming or the 14700k is a decent all-rounder and coming close to the x3d in games but way better for productivity.

Brother @Tetras gone intel so I'll go AMD

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £861.96 (includes delivery: £7.99)

I'm in a similar boat. My 8700K is nicely OC'd to 4.8Ghz but I have the itch for a new build. I was set on a 14700KF but now I'm thinking AM5 might be a better shout. Realistically, I never upgrade my CPU mid cycle, but some logic is rattling around that with AM5 I have two more years of processor upgrade options, but LGA1700 has nothing - 15th gen will be a new socket. I don't really do any CPU intensive stuff other than gaming, so perhaps a 7800X3D might be a better shout for me.

I ended up going 7800x3d route.
Should be fun and wife gets my old pc so... Yay? Lol
