I am looking at a possible upgrade from the ASus vg236h. I haven't been following any new tech/monitors lately. I've had this monitor for a few years and I have loved it. Yet It does have its flaws. For example if you un plug it from the wall and plug it back in... you need to switch it on and off about 12 times for it to power on... and another thing i hate is the glossy screen. I keep seeing my face when its a dark scene. I was really into the 3d before but not so much now. I only use it for the 120hz.
What i would like:
-£400 or under
-120hz is a plus but Not bothered. I rarely run games over 75fps
-Good for gaming (low latency, good colours etc)
-Nothing that can be used as a mirror. If I can see every detail on my face when gaming, It's a no....
-I would love a thin bezel monitor. Just looks better than 1inch of plastic sticking out the size.
-It must be light and support VESA stands. 100x100 or 150x150
I have a few in mind but I am unsure..
29" Dell UltraSharp U2913WM
Asus SonicMaster MX279H (for plugging a freeview box into as well)
Asus VN279QLB
What would you recommend? Those may not be the best monitors but I really like the ultrawide angle monitors. I do a lot of editing in the SC2 Editor and video editing. I see the extra size being a good thing.
Thanks
Marc
