An upgrade question

HI folks,

Its been a long time since i've frequesnted these forums and have completely lost touch with the world of overclockign and performance pc's

I do however need some advice.

I currently have an amd x3 with some (read that as 4 gig i think) ssd etc...

I'm running an ati 4850hd gfx card and i'm looking for an upgrade, the stock cooler on the 4850 is well... RAAAAHHHHH noisey.

I'm budgeted up to 100 quid so what would be a good/sensible upgrade path.

Secondhand 5850's go for around 80-100 now
would be a tidy improvement over your 4850

for the nvidia camp, Gtx460's can be had for that money, or the 470 for 100-120 2nd hand

I was going to say a second hand 5850 as well, try get a ref design model that has the volts unlocked you can overclock..

This card, better than buying second hand and with a guarantee, oh and £10 change for a couple of drinks, job done.
