Hey well I just got my red/cyan glasses through and tryed this video (Highly recommend)
.

But I know I have a disability that means that my eyes in fact alternate and shut off their signal to the brain but because the brain is all powerful I don't really notice in day to day life. However I keep getting red and cyan outlines and hazes when I use this and my mum didn't, she said it was very 3d where as I would say it was definitely 3d but not as much as it could have been for me.

What is your experiences? I'm trying to work out if it is in fact my disability preventing me from seeing it in all it's glory truly.

Even people without visual disabilities have very varied results with 3D, without specialist help its probably going to be difficult to narrow it down.

Yeah I figured other people vary. It's annoying me that my mum sees the picture perfectly without any colour distortions and I get a rather noticeable red outline on everything. Text has a red shadow too. I was hoping to get the proper 3d stuff later this year but I guess I will have to give it quite an extensive test to see if it works for me.

Still I will try some games out with this cyan/red 3d later and see what happens but I don't really get how to turn it on for games. Nvidia make it very confusing as they only loosely state anything about anaglyph 3d as they are more interested in telling the world about the £100 version :P.

You may find with proper 3D Vision that changing the Hz between 100-120 results in something that works for you.

If you want to give anaglyph a go in games grab Trackmania Nations Forever (the free version) as it has native anaglyph mode (red/cyan glasses).

Hmmm I'm looking at the usermanual for it and it says that I need special drivers?

I downloaded the latest nvidia drivers and it has 3d stero settings but all it has is the depth setting. Apparently I need some stero drivers but the only ones I can find are from 2006?

:EDIT:

I shall give mincraft and trackmania a go.

with the latest 270.61 using the 3d discover mode world of warcraft works a treat, and that was with just a flat red blue pair free from the sun. its good enough to make me spend £4.28 on two sets of clip on red blue glasses.

hmmm works fine on my gtx470 but wont work at all on the wifes gtx260

I cant get on with red/cyan anaglyph - the red filter blocks too much brightness.

The green/magenta or blue/yellow versions work much better (but are subject to patents).
