Anal grammar questions (quick and easy!)

There are defined and well-known bars and venues which espouse such distinction: one of which is the Ropewalk itself.

Colon as above? Or semi-colon as I think it should be. Please tell me I'm right

Just a comma.

You could probably get away with a semi-colon even though it's not correct, as not many people know where to use them.

Definitely not a colon. Possible semi-colon, I'd go for a comma personally.

According to my English Lit uni housemate commers should usually always come in pairs; it there is only one then it should be a semi colon. So for me that should be a semi colon. It also reads better like that.
