analog/digital install: what's the difference?

currently installing/setting up by samsung bx2450 and i being presented with option of the display adapters on which i want to install the monitor. there are seperate ones for bx2450 (analog) and bx2450 (digital). which one should i choose? :confused:

To be honest Windows 7 should sort out the drivers for you anyway. If you have connected it to a DVI or HDMI port on your graphics card choose digital. If you are using an HDMI to VGA adaptor or cable choose analog.

Never heard of that... how do you have it cabled. If you get a choice, ignore the old blue cables (VGA) and go for the White DVI or HDMI if it has it... digital gives a better signal.
