analog/digital install: what's the difference?

currently installing/setting up by samsung bx2450 and i being presented with option of the display adapters on which i want to install the monitor. there are seperate ones for bx2450 (analog) and bx2450 (digital). which one should i choose?

digital, should be the dvi connector off your graphics card too the monitor.
