'evening gents

so i'm currently running a pair of akg 704's through an asus sound card.

i kinda figured that a dedicated sound card would have enough oomph for decent volume but sadly i'm finding myself with volume maxed in certain games and still not quite loud enough.

figure an external amp is the best option, but i'm a tad (read entirely) lacking in knowledge of what's good/bad/ok in this field, how much is reasonable, how much is excessive etc.

so figured i'd ask the hivemind what would be a decent fit? nothing fancy needed- a 3.5mm jack going in and a 3.5mm jack going out, tbh volume control isn't really necessary if it's at a decent level i can just adjust on the pc as-needed.

edit: and ofc i have to have a typo in the title......

I've never heard of AKG 704, but when I had AKG 702's a Creative Soundblaster G6 powered them easily.

ahh yes, 702's is what i'm running, i derped on the number :P

forgot i'd posted this and ended up buying a sabaj tube amp from the rainforest, probably not the best but seems to be doing a decent enough job.
