Know there’s a few Analogue users on here, I have Super NT and it’s a great bit of kit.

They’ve just announced a pocket FPGA system that plays Gameboy, Color, and Advance games, plus other handheld systems like Game Gear and Lynx.

Looks quite good, will be able to get a dock for it as well to play on the TV. I still need to get a Mega SG, but I think this will be a purchase for me as well.

More details of this announced today, and a pre-order date of next Monday, with shipping aiming for May 2021.

I was excited but I'm on the fence a bit at the minute, looking at $200 for the console, $100 for the dock and probably $50 shipping for what I want, plus import duty on top. Major sticking point is, paying for it now and not getting it for at least 10 months, would be persuaded to go for it instantly if there was a deposit system. So I don't know whether to wait till release and order it then, will decide by next Monday though.

I've bought one in the end :p

Sold out in 8 minutes apparently, don't know how that works, they probably won't even being going into production for months.

To add to that, looks like the Pocket itself will be going back up for pre-orders on the 14th at 8am PST (16:00 here) so for anyone interested in getting one there is your chance.

Well I’ve just checked the tracking and according to the last update to that, it’s still in Tennessee, so I’m doubtful about tomorrow now lol.

Mines been delivered this morning but I'm still at work. I've ordered an X5 mini everdrive as well just waiting on that being delivered too though, will probably still jailbreak it if firmware is released, have jailbroken all my other analogue consoles.

Thanks both.
I see the Analogue also support original cartridges. If there are issues around using an Everdrive / similar product this is pretty bad.
I have a number of Megadrive cartridges and other console games but the Mega Everdrive x7 I have is fantastic. No more blowing on cartridges to get them working or them not working at all, simply use the Everdrive and no need to switch cartridges or blow on them again... I sort of miss blowing on games to get them working! :D

edit - I guess you could say enthusiasts want no emulation and exactly how it was originnally. Sometimes though originally it was rubbish! E.g. Cartridges / floppy disk and prone to wearing out

Before I got a Mega SD flash cart for my Analogue Mega SG, I jail broke it, and had all Mega Drive and Master System games on an SD cart plugged directly into the machine. Have done the same to my Analogue Nt Mini and Super NT, hopefully a jailbreak firmware comes for the Pocket soon, I bought an X5 mini everdrive for it, and haven't had any problems playing the games that I want on it.

Finally got round to updating mine, Have the GB cores, plus NES, SNES, Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear and SG 1000, still trying to get the Neo Geo core to work though.

Yeah, I've got them, but nothing comes up when you select the folder in the core menu, the folders have the files in them, I need to play around with it to get it to work.
