Hi all,
My net has been a bit weird recently, and it definitely manifests itself in CSS. Here's my net graph
css_choking.jpg

In game this translates to basically being jittery - as if Im warping every few seconds.

Could you tell me what the graph indicates and any possible solutions?

oooowwww great graph son, i love the extended red lines they really give a sense that your on wireless and maybe even vista?

sexy graph do show more, its a turn on

haha sorry :)

for one use net_graph 1

ur lerp should be 0.015

ur choke is to high and ur FPS should be maxed to 101

there is nothing right about ur netgraph as it is and i also detect wireless gaming = ERROR!

Yup, your traditional wireless lag spike. Unfortunately there's not too much you could do. Twiddling with your antenna may aleviate the problem to an extent, and changing channels is worth a try, but going wired is the only perfect solution.

No, I've been on wireless for years without problems

Well, you're having problems now.

Test it on wired to see if it goes away. If it doesn't, woo - you're right on a forum post..but you still have lag issues. If it does, problem solved.

It's a win-win.

slightly off topic - but fps_max 100 - or anything for that matter so that it is constant.

when you get an fps which insnt constant your sensitivity will increase/decrease and as a result you'll never get that good ;)

Without problems for years is just ignoring the fact that you don't control wireless. I'm guessing it's either the Wireless Zero Config scanner or you're just dropping packets due to crap signal.

I have the same issue with Bethere. They're great for downloading stuff but not so great for online gaming, at least in my experience for me. At certain times of day I can be hitting everything as well as having 0 loss and 0 choke, then other times I get 50-100 choke, 3-5 loss and hit absolutely nothing even if I even see blood from where I shot someone. I made a demo a while back showing a few people on a cs forum and some people found it incredibly shocking that the bullets hit the players but they didn't lose hp. I may as well be shooting tampons I tell you!

On Virgin here 50meg and must the same in the day time I can hit everything but at night its like i'm shooting blanks at time I can shoot static targets [ People standing still ] and I just wont hit.

I think BT internet was the best for me after some fun and games with lag and a call to ofcom it worked great for years :)

I've fixed the problem by disabling multi-core rendering
