I think you are the only one playing. I did ask if it was worth buying (and getting a telling off from the wife) but nobody replied :( Or replied with an answer)

I like it but I like most civ games tbh. I had a quick go this morning which turned into 3 hours.... For £20 you can't really go wrong.....

It runs perfect on my laptop with an 880m and my desktop with a 290 all settings at ultra. 1080p on laptop and 1440p on desktop....

+1,

Matt hasn't hated on anything Nvidia.

The hate towards matt however is deplorable, trolling on reps shouldn't be tolerated imo.

If AMD are going to embed marketeers into online communities (either officially or unofficially ;)) then they are going to be targets.

Same as and I have enjoyed all the Civ games. I will grab it tonight cheers :)

I have Civ5, its a brilliant game but sucks up far too much time, you start playing in the evening, time goes by, you notice you feel a bit cold, glance at your watch and realise its gone 2am, and then have to try and sneak into bed without waking the wife!

Great stuff..

Would you guys recommend this to a guy who never played a turn base game before?
Not sure what to do, I could do with a game that is relaxing and this looks relaxing indeed.

Truth be told Shankly I've never played this either, or even a game remotely like this. I'm probably the wrong person to ask for advice about this. However I'm going to trying to learn how to play it over the coming days. Looks like a game you could easily lose a whole day playing once you get in to it.

I had civ5 on my laptop because it was less demanding and being turn based you can load it up and save and quit with ease, so it was perfect for travelling for wasting some time, it didnt make any difference to gameplay whether you had it on max settings or lows/mediums

It isnt a game I would bother playing on my desktop though

Still?

I not had a memory leak ever in BF4?

Mantle and BF4 up to when I sold my 290 was fubar'd.

DX was much better.

Some people get it, some don't. It's a problem with BF4 only. Work is being done to solve it don't worry. Might have an update regarding this soon. As soon as i know anything definite, i will let you know.

Did you play CTE and then the fall patch?

The only issue I have had with BF4 before the the fall patch was xfire stutter and that was in both DX11 and Mantle.

Download CTE and that fixed the issue, fall patch and xfire is better than ever for me.

Wasn't just an AMD issue either going from Battlelog forums.

LOL
I only play for couple games a day so could be that. Some days I dont play at all. kinder bored of Battlefield right now. CSGO all day for me.

On my 3x7950s it could kick off as in little as 15 minutes or when the next map loaded.
I'm going o see if i get the issue with the 290s.
