Anandtechs look at DX 12 in action with star swarm.

NP and its good to see older cards like 680 which is similar to my 670 doing well with dx12.

My only worry with dx12 is that a lot of current or decent older games won't use it as many devs will say dx9 or 11 is good enough and won't update em to dx12 and also say it costs too much or the engine is too much effort to update to it even tho i've read its not that hard to impliment it.

I think the article said as much but opted to use a certain test in it that was predictable and more accurate for benching.

No gain. They need to design and write things from the start to support DX12.

I dunno I mean direct x is backward compatible so who knows if any of the dx11 files are what we have now or updated slightly files which in turn may improve dx11 by a small nudge. As personally I doubt highly that in win 10 the dx12 set is just about dx12 files and features as they must have tweaked older DX 9 and 10 and 11 files while there doing 12. Maybe for fixes only but maybe it has a benefit for us in existing games.

I'd like to see benches of all DX 9 10 11 and 12 titles on win 10 and compare em to win7 when win10 is out.
