I was tidying out some boxes of old kit and I have a Helios X3000 HD Network Media player - which I thought I would resurrect to play a few DVDs - BUT the remote doesn't work - Others seem to have had the same issue. When I did use this player in the distant past the remote gave trouble but I found a corroded track near the battery connector.
Player is useless without a remote.
Now, trying to use it again the remote is really dead. looking at all of the PCB I suspect there is another failed track (some corrosion spots are evident) so I suspect Helios remote PCBs were poorly made?
So same question - look in your lofts chaps - does anyone have an old remote control for this museum piece????
