I am finally taking the plunge and getting shot of my beloved Iiyama VM Pro 455 which has served me well, a couple of weeks ago i built a pc for a friend and purchased a Dell Ultrasharp 1905fp for him, WOW is all i can say, it made my CRT look all out of shape, dull and lifeless, to say i was very impressed is an understatement.

I had had my eye on a Viewsonic VP930 for some time now and down to all the reviews and comments i have read by people posting on the OCUK forums feel this best suits my needs as i do a little of everything, i finally placed my order on Friday :D roll on Monday! along with a new Aego M2.1 speaker system to replace my Creative 250D ;)

So a BIG thank you to everyone from me for the time and effort you put into posting on these forums.

Andy

PS thankyou to the idiots who wiped out me and my bro-in-law in a hit and run motorbike accident 3 years ago  the Motor Insurance Bureau finally paid out this week making these purchases possible :p

OMG this screen is a beauty, the colors are superb and NO dead pixels - wahooo! and ive just gone through 2 boxes of tissues clearing up the mess i made all over my room i am so excited :p I'm like a little boy with a new train set, ahhh those were the days when we played with real toys!

I have left the settings at 100 for brightness and 70 for contrast is that okay or should i adjust them, they look good to me?

I will post more findings as I come across them.

Andy

I've left mine at the same default settings andyroberts. I've had my VP930 for about 5 months now and its superb. I did the review on it in the guide from Baddass and my opinion has not changed since then. Terrific monitor. :D

Edit: I think mine are the other way round = contrast 100, brightness 70.
