Hell yes. Does it sound and go as well as it looks?

Oh yes, it has a TSL firestorm exhaust and its LOUD which is what i wanted and it go's like **** of a shovel ! So much fun

Wow - very nice mate! Can I ask how much? I was looking at these before I got my new one, so would be interested in the price of a nice one like this...

Was up for £11500 and i haggled him down to £10500 :)

Needs a bigger exhaust.

It can be done on certain jap cars, imprezas / skylines look good with a good old 5 inch

I always knew you were a chav ;)

Looks nice! Details?

It did have "suabru" along the suntrip :D but i thought that was a bit much so had that off as soon as i got it home ;)

This car is simply the best car i have ever owned. Nothing has put this bigger grin on my face EVER

The looks it gets
The crazy acceleration
The AWESOME noise
They way it go's round corners, go into a corner fast and then boot it in 2nd/3rd and it just pulls itself round

So happy, what a car :) Cant wait to get some decent lowering springs / new antiroll bar, its going to be simply mental

Whats it like in a straight line conpared to the VX?

Hmmm im not sure, i think the VX would be on par untill around 80 but i think the scoob would pull on it above those speeds. You wont belive this but the scoob feels a lot quicker, maybe its the noise or the fact the power comes in big shoves but it does. The VX was a bit boring, it sounded crap and didnt really feel fast evan tho if you watched the needle you could see the speed going up very quickly.

How much power?

Think its abouot 305 bhp

Lower and detango asap!

Very nice though, wait until you do some real power mods to it, then it'll feel fast :p

Both on the list, what lowering springs would you suggest ? After i come back from my next ring trip its going to played with a bit, what would you suggest to get it to say the 350 bhp mark ?

Excellent choice and the end of any concerns about grip.

One day I am sure I will return to an Impreza, bags of character, bags of ability, so many aspects put a smile on your face. Not perhaps drivers cars, but really, who gives a toss?

Your right i dont give a toss, the VX220 wouldent be able to get anywhere near this on a decent country road. Its all very well having these cars that handle so well but when you need a track to use it what the hell is the point ?? The smile this thing puts on my face is just :D

nice car
i just hate those exhausts, there is a scooby that comes down my street and its sounds like he`s doing 80mph and he`s doing 25

Some jap cars look crap without a big exhaust (well anything below a 4) and yes your right its loud but the sound is just mmmmmmm :D

I don't think you'll have near 300bhp at the moment you know mate. With only an exhaust, it's probably around the 280bhp mark. Unless it's PPP'd??? But it doesn't seem to be by it's selling description.

Springs, massive choice, what do you want, handling, stance, comfort ?

Mine is on Prodrive springs, which are very compliant and just the lower height makes it FEEL so much more capable around the corners. They're actually softer than standard.

350bhp mark.. me I'd go full 3" decat from turbo back, Harvey Smith Ported Headers and uppipe, fuel pump, and a TD05-18g turbo (rated to around 380bhp..) and of course the remap.

it has the PPP pack :)

Springs, it would be nice to keep the comfort and the fact i can enjoy over not such good road surfaces .... Where would i be able to get the prodrive springs from ? I see a lot of eibach kits around for the £150 mark which offer a 20mm drop

TSL offer a 333 package which looks as if it consists of just a remap ? What would you say are the costs of 350 bhp are ?

If you've got the PPP then great, just change the turbo and get a remap :D

And if you want a bit more, change the headers etc. If I were you right now, I'd sort the springs, some gauges, and learn how to reach it's limits (which are high as I'm sure you've found out..)

The front tyres were a little low when i collected it and ive managed to pretty much finish them off this weekend ;) so there first on the list so The power upgrades wont be going on untill around august / september so plenty of time to get used to the car. Springs and gauges will be fitted before my ring trip in july.

At the moment its running bridgestone RE050 all round, do you think i should replace the fronts with these or get a diffrent type ?

Sooo many questions :D

I will try to get a decent video in the week for you

The VX220 is a good car but i just dont think its worth owning one as your only car. Ok so its good to pose in when the suns out and its pretty damm good on petrol (often saw 200 miles from £30) but i felt that to get the most out of it you had to be on a track. I spent £3500 on that car in thre 9 months i owned it and i did under 5000 miles in it. Sure i bought some pretty expensive parts but they had to be replaced none the less ....

+ I would never EVER buy another turbo, the SHOCKING paint issue has put me off for life. I paid £1150 to have the car sorted out before sale and spending money on an issue because of the cars shoddy build quality is heart breaking especially since i went to see vauxuall who had there paint inspector look and it only to tell me they would not do anything as it had not been serviced at a vauxuall dealership all its life and also because i was not the first owner

Very nice indeed

I had a TSL Firestorm on mine, epic sound :D

Video going up this week sometime, i keep finding myself putting the windows down as soon as i find the car in a tunnel / going past tall walls etc just to hear that sound :D

RE tyres... RE050s are standard on the WRX. May as well kill off the set and get some nice Vredesteins or Eagle Assymetrics (sp??) Toyo T1Rs get good reviews on scoobs too.

Cheers mate :) Only thing that worrys me slightly is the fact my mates pulsar seems to litrally rip the rubber off his T1Rs :\ and by the look of this weekend the scoob eats tyres too

The rears are pretty much brand new so looks like ill be going for some more RE050s hmmm

Need to find some time to fiddle with that DCCD button too, big open empty carpark me thinks :)

LOL yea struggle to see over that bonnet scoop ;)

I cannot make the RR, got other plans :(

Very nice! How much was insurance if you don't mind me asking? I'm the same age as you and I get ridiculous quotes for group 20 cars :(

21 with no claims no points and 4 years NCB living in a group B postcode works out to be around the £1500 mark this is my own policy with my dad added onto MY policy

Does looks very nice indeed, i hope you enjoy it, especially in the weather we're currently having (if its as sunny your way as it is ours!).

I don't personally think the exhaust looks big/out of place, they kinda come with the territory where Impreza's/Evo's etc are concerned!

Do you have any plans for this one?

The exhaust is GREAT and i LOVE it :D i agree with you 100 %

Plans for the next few months will be lowering springs and some decent gauges. After that pay some money off my CC and then start looking towards a new turbo etc to get her above the 350 bhp mark

eibachs please!!!

otherwise

Next month ;)

Nice car!

Were you driving this around Woking today by any chance? I saw one just like it earlier turning out of Boundary Road with another scoob behind it. License plate ended in ZHK?

Nope not me, no where near working today ...

Cheers mate :)

Fett its fantastic and im enjoying it a huge amount, a little thirsty but it is worth it ! didnt you also have a forester and now have a GTR on order ... Swear ive seen you around farnborough too unless im thinking of someone else lol
