And with that i find myself rooting for Intel!

About a year ago Nvidia launch the Graphics Partner Program, in effect what it meant was if for example AIB's didn't use the premium branding for only Nvidia GPU's excluding AMD, or to use the best coolers for Nvidia and put the crap ones only on AMD.... IF AIB's didn't do this they would be penalised for it, be it through stock allocation or the quality of the chips...

Well that's how Nvidia plan to tackle Intel, i hope Intel go in to this with the intention to crush Nvidia at any cost because its about time Jens was slapped down.

Just watched that tonight also, we always thought it but when you look back it just makes sense!

They always threw out blocks of cards during a competitors launch to put out any fire before it had a chance to impact.

AMD don't have the coffers and security to actually fight with Nvidia in a way that could actually do some serious damage to Nvidia, all they can do is make good cards and hope they still sell despite what ever Nvidia does to try and have 100% market share.

Intel on the other hand.... If Nvidia try the school yard bully tactic on Intel they might just find themselves on the floor in a puddle of blood, Intel are just as big and nasty as they are, and i hope Intel develop an irrational hate for Nvidia.

The sensible approach is for Intel and AMD to respect one another and focus on chipping away at nvidia's arrogance. As we have seen with ryzen, the mindshare is possible...

I don't know how much help AMD can be to Intel, probably not much but if them working together helps to combat Nvidia then yes they should.

Nvidia finally feeling threatened, this should be interesting! It would have been better for Nvidia to not have done anything and just let it be, plan something in the background that doesn't draw attention to itself saying "hey we're scared so lets try and threaten AIB's!" Weak!

This isnt something intel isn't guilty of though. They got huge fines for stopping companies from using AMD cpus in laptops etc etc. Things like removing the big price reductions companies got to sell their stuff. If they sold AMD stuff the reductions would be less or even stopped. Things like this could he part of the reason why AMD cpus have been so poor before zen.

Nobody batted an eyelid and just carried on going with intel even now I bet people are taking performance losses to stay with intel rather than zen.

It will all come down to volume if Intel can`t produce the goods in sufficient numbers it will not make much difference.

Yep they did that, which is why I tried avoiding their products for years if other options were available.

Always cracks me up people hating x brand because of their practices yet they buy x hardware, good way to show your distaste to the company :D

Problem is you need good products to do that or at the very least products that are competitively priced and in stock, not to mention, at the very least give the image/persona that PC gamers are your focus and not consoles + multi exclusivity partner deals across every other industry.

They nailed it with ryzen cpus but they still have quite the way to go with their GPUs, however, saying that, I'm hopeful for RDNA 3 (FSR should get to dlss levels of quality, even surpass it in theory along with much better RT perf.) since they have got the consoles sorted now so no reason why they can't put the focus on pc desktop gpus now.

It has been highlighted @Nexus18 although I agree with your point, the budget of some is a fraction of another. The good news is when you can release anything and its being bought up in this current market, they have no excuse to say "due to poor sales we have no money to spend on R&D, drivers" etc.

So now there are three players finally in the dGPU space, we just need the stock so that price wars ensue!

Intel have been doing these dirty tricks in the cpu markets for years. I’m not sure how much they will go after Nvidia with this gen of gpu’s. It’s certainly not going to harm the market have 3 major players in it and Nvidia won’t be able to bully Intel the way they have Amd.

true people will moan about a company in england laying of 500 staff but are happy to spend money with disney who did that to 500000 in the middle of a global pandemic and left them with nothing while making there bigest profits in history
