Hi.
Are there any known problems with X2 processors and USB devices?

Ive been having problems today where any device thats connected to my USB Hub, be it my iPod or Webcam, will work for a few minutes, and then hard lock my computer. But if i connect it to the mobo directly, or to a port thats connected to the mobo directly, then it functions fine.
The only thing thats changed lately is the X2 processor.

Ideas?

well that would sound like like a problem with devices connected to the hub.
Why would it be a problem with my webcam or iPod if they work flawlessly when connected directly to the motherboards ports?
If anything it would be the hub, but seeing as theres not really a lot that can go wrong with a hub, i thought i'd check if theres any known X2 problems, as thats the thing thats changed lately.

I have the same problem with "self powered hub", but if I use the psu, with the hub, all works fine.

I am not sure about webcams - but ipods shouldnt be used via a hub anyway - I believe it says that in the guidelines, for this very reason.

Those self powered hubs arent meant for heavy drain items, either get a "mains" hub or plug in devices straight to the mobo

It has nothing to do with the cpu

Ive never read that guideline. Or heard of it for that matter.
The hubs powered anyway.
And the reason i thought CPU is that it worked fine when i had my old processor.
