The version with English subs will be released simultaneously with the original Russian version, or maybe a little bit later than it.
Currently Russian voice acting is being recorded (proffessional actors also participate in it). If we find duely qualified English-speaking actors, the English voice acting will also be released, though AFTER the main release.

Andorans release is slated for the second half of 2011. The game will require a licensed copy of TES IV: Oblivion.

So far modders both normal and standalones have been far better than the developers of the original game!.

Its funny to think that Skyrim has competition from Oblivion total conversion mods rather than from Oblivion itself :p

I assume it works with the steam version? Might have to dl it so I have a fresh version that will work with conversion mods.

^ Should do, although you'll have to wait awhile yet to try this :D

Nehrim was far better than oblivion, if nobody has tried that yet

Was reading up about this the other day. Looks brilliant. It really is amazing dedication the modding scene show for these games. When compiling mods for Morrowind a few months back i was amazed that files/mods were still being uploaded as i was downloading some, and most were still being updated.

Meh, i think that it is one of those thing where it has just become kind of 'cool' to say that. In reality, it was different, but it was hardly a great game. Top, top Kudos to them for making it though, outstanding effort

Although having owned oblivion on the xbox and pc I have never actually finsihed the original game. Would love to try some mods though.

Good find - will follow this.

Nehrim is brilliant (German with subtitles) - only just got to the NorthRealm at lvl24. Agree that it's certainly better than oblivion!

Looks great, definitely keeping an eye on this.

Tried the Nehrim mod a while back and mirror what people say about it being stunning. Felt a crime that it was free (Aside from owning oblivion).

If this is anywhere near as good then awesome!

Absolutely amazing trailer. Can't wait.

*Goes to find out more info about Nehrim*.

Edit: *Downloading Nehrim*.

That does look extremely nice. If it looks anything like that running, it definately shows how much untapped potential was in the engine. Whilst you can still tell it's based on the same engine; overall lighting, textures, models etc...they all seem vastly better (although saying that Oblivion did come out about 5 years ago...somewhat staggeringly)

I'll look forward to hearing about this coming out; although I've had it archived for quite some time I've not got round to playing Nehrim either, but I decided to grab Oblivion GOTY on the steam sales for just that purpose as I couldn't remember where I've put my original disc.

The unfortunate thing about Oblivion is I wanted to love it; it checks most of my boxes, and I've bought it a few times now (PC, then I grabbed a GOTY copy for the 360, thinking I might enjoy it sitting on the sofa, and now on Steam), but every time I go to play it, something about the world and original campaign feels hollow to me; as though Bethesda did 2/3rds of the work, then left others to finish off and flesh out the world and story.

I know I'm in a minority on my feelings towards it, although certainly not alone, so I hope Nehrim and Andoran can 'do it' for me when I get round to playing them.
