No way, poor guy. Always remember him having that huge off at Silverstone when he was driving for Jordan.

I remember him more for is efforts in Lancia's and the Alfa F1 car in the early 80's. He was the most accident prone F1 driver I think I ever saw, but in the Lancia and on occasions in F1 was very rapid indeed. RIP.

For some reason I thought this racer (or another de Cesaris racer) died years ago!

I can remember as a teen playing a F1 managers game on the Spectrum and this guy won so many races, unlike real life.

Or could be Michele Alboreto? Anyway, Sad news indeed that Andrea has passed away. I remember listening to James Hunt and Murray commentate, and Hunt was always quite opinionated when it came to De Cesaris! A likable guy from what I remember, and a sad day for any that watched him race. R.I.P Andrea
