As mentioned, any HTC phones released in 2010 will get the update. Not guaranteed for pre-2010 phones....

I'm happy as I have the Desire which is the current HTC flagship phone in the UK so will be getting the update..

Personally, I'd rather have 2.1 with Sense than 2.2 without it. I'm happy to wait, my Desire is hardly lacking

For Android phones, Flash support will require Android 2.2 and an ARM Cortex-A8 or better processor. That means the HTC Incredible, Google Nexus One, Sprint EVO, and Motorola Droid will be the only Flash-capable phones currently on the market, if and when they get 2.2 OS upgrades..

Yeah... Seems to be a US site so they dont mention UK phones. Desire is a N1 with a diff skin so yes.

X10, you would thinks SE would but, then again, you would think SE would have given it 2.1 to begin with :rolleyes:

Not sure if you were watching the IO Conference, but they had SE CEO on and SE don't really sell in the USA, only in Europe & Asia, probably why it hasn't been mentioned.

The X10 will get the update, I wouldn't worry too much

The X10 seems to be selling very well at the moment, just have to wait to Q2 is finished to see how well SE have done with the device.

There seems to be a lot of uncertainty regarding updates. I'm not surprised either - apparently a lot of manufacturers are neglecting their phones and just continuing to pump out new models. I hope this doesn't become the case of Desire/X10 etc etc. Google have seriously put some effort in for this release. Why 2.2 and not 2.5/3.0 I don't know!

When the update is out it will automatically be downloaded to your phone as long you have auto update enabled.

Yep. The improvements in 2.2 over 2.1 are relatively minor for me tbh, whereas I really really like the Sense interface so the latter takes precedence over the former.

Not like I won't get 2.2, just have to wait a bit which is fine - there's nothing in there I'm gagging for.
