Yep, iPlayer is working but very very choppy

Yes, root directory ONLY, otherwise it won't find it

Yeah I'm back to stock, just won't update with the zip I downloaded, meh!

Is it the stock recovery and all the jazz that goes with the stock ROM though? Might be worth repeating those steps first

Then try a different source for the download

Yeah its EPE54B installed and stock recovery when I do adb reboot recovery, no AMON's there anymore.

Downloaded it again and get the error above, but the zip isn't corrupt.

did you rename it "update.zip" resulting in update.zip.zip or is it update.zip, ie correct?

I went all the way back last night, to the very first shipping ROM, then it auto updated to the newer one, and that worked when I flashed over it. Very strange
