Android and Outlook

Out of the box, what is Androids capability of syncing with Outlook?

Mail?
Contacts?
Calender?
Tasks?

Does it 'just work'?

Depending on version, but ideally you need to be using the Exchange functionality rather than outlook as a standalone mail client. If you have Exchange, then yes, everything works very nicely.

I don't fully know how / if Android Syncs with outlook as a client and I guess that would actually more depend on the phone manufacturer and the PC software they provide (HTC Sync, SEUS, etc)

Works fine for me standalone via HTC Sync, but the "activesync" OTA account syncing with works exchange is not 100% reliable - but that maybe because I have pretty dire signal here.

Does it do Tasks? I've never seen that option in stock Android but use Tasks on my desktop a lot so would be helpful. The two main Exchange apps on the Market that do tasks are cack though.

No exchange, its used standalone.

Is it easy so sync outlook with Google calendar?

Cant get mine to sync with our exchange server unfortunately, must be some config error as it is service packed i believe to what HTC say is required
