Whats the best app to monitor my data usage on Android so I don't go over my monthly allowance? Something that can automatically let me know when I'm getting close, or even automatically turn to 2G when close would be good, and also one that knows when my monthly limit is refreshed and resets accordingly.

What network are you on? Vodafone have recently released an app which shows how many minutes, texts and data you've used for each month and then how much you have remaining for each as well.

I use My Allowance as its for O2 and vodafone customers, having a look at the voda one now

EDIT: Voda's one is quite nice, doesnt have a widget though but its free :)

traffic counter extended, can place 3 1x1 icons or 4 if u want, on one of ur wallpaper sections for easy viewing and u can see how much u have used, its limited to monitor one at a time tho for limits i.e tell u when ur near, i duno how much the full version costs but i dont imagine it to be much.

This is what i was recommended by talkmobile. Duno if its "the best" but its not bad, if anyone knows of a better full free one with no limits then i wouldnt mind checking it out.

you can log into your account on carphonewarehouses website which tells you remaining data/minutes.

With TM being a virtual network or whatever there is a 24 or 48 hour delay in what u see you have used. So a real time counter is much more preferred for when using TalkMobile.
