Hi,

Been trying to connect my Huawei P30 Pro running Android 10 via Android Auto to my new car - new shape 2020 Peugeot 208 GT Line with the iCockpit dash and touch screen. It returns this error when I connect using the USB cable:-

Having Googled this, some folk say Android Auto will not work on most devices running Android 10. And yet some folk say they are running Android 10 on their P30 Pro and AA works fine? I've tried removing the version of Android Auto on the phone and replacing it with an earlier version APK but it still doesn't seem to want to connect. And strangely enough every time I try and install a version of Android Auto on the phone now, although it is installed as I think a system app, its now not showing up anywhere on the phone screen other than in the app settings section on the phone.

Also tried nosing around in Developer Options and changed the standard USB behaviour to MTP and switched on NFC after someone suggested that (although it did nothing unsurprisingly). Any suggestions welcomed, ta.

Can you disable mirrorlink on either the car or the phone?

No issues with my Mate 20 Pro and any android auto headunit I’ve tried it with (my old Audi S3, the AutoOpen Pro/raspberry Pi device in the TT, or the Amundsen system in the Wife’s Skoda Yeti are all fine).

The few times I do have a connection issue with the Yeti is when the car assumes it’s creating a mirrorlink connection rather than AA, but either restarting the car or the phone fixes it.

Hi paradigm, I can't see an option to disable mirrorlink in the car touch screen settings and I can't find it on my phone anywhere either. Is mirrorlink an app on the phone, separate from Android Auto?
