Hi all. Just after a bit of advice as I figured others may have had a similar issue.

My Dad really struggles with his phone, including making and receiving calls, so I figured I'd try a nice simple launcher for him. I installed Wiser which seems nice and easy to use, however when calls come in it still brings up the normal screen where you have to swipe to the right to answer, which he struggles with. Anyone know a way to change that, I've been searching through the menus and googling but can't see a way.

Happy for any other advice or suggestions for better launchers.

AFAIK that's apart of the rom and cant be changed. Which phone is it?

Sometimes the phone has the option to answer calls with any hard button.

A launcher won't change that afaik. I use Nova and still have to swipe to accept calls. However saying that, the Z3 has a built-in feature that means I can answer calls simply by lifting phone to my ear.

Thank you both, It's a Moto G.

Fair enough if it can't be changed (though a shame), I thought there may be a way as part of the normal android settings, maybe as part of some accessibility options.

Thanks, yeah I got my Mum to get a Windows phone recently and she gets on really well with it, coming from an old non-smart phone. If he ever decides to change it I'll try to get him to have the same, in the mean time I'll see how this new launcher goes. The main issue is really that he uses it so rarely, if he used it a bit more often I think he'd be okay.
