Android- How to stop the automatic import of miscellaneous contacts?

Hi all,

I don't get mobile phones that much. I do have a problem with my ZTE Axon 7 though- once I bought it and populated my contact list with my friends the phone also imported some random phone numbers on top- "Auto payment line", "Auto top-up line", "Information & Settings", "Voicemail" and some other. I assume these are carrier related phone numbers.

I deleted those manually but my phone keeps importing them periodically again and again.

Is there any way of preventing that? I am on Android 6.0.1 if that matters.

Thank you.

They are either built in the phones ROM or on the SIM card. If they are on the SIM (which i suspect), go into your Contacts and click More at the top right and make sure you deselect showing SIM contacts, but only if you have all your contacts on your Google account... if you have them on your SIM too, you wont see anything.

Thank you so much, UKDTweak. That did it :)

I did have to go to Contacts/ Settings/ Contacts Display/ Contacts to Display and there I got to deselect both SIM cards.

Have a good one, mate.
