Android multiple login question

I'm not sure wherever to replace my Note 1 with the new Note 3 on contract or get a smaller, cheaper phone and a Nexus 7 off contract. The latter is likely to work out cheaper and have the benefit of botb portability and more screen estate when needed.

If I get two devices can I login to both at the same time?
Will emails appear on both?
