Android/Nexus One: First Impressions

Well I've got a Desire as well now (through work for testing purposes), and the first thing I had to do was strip off Sense UI (oh my god, its just awful).

So its rooted and running DeFroST 3.7, which makes the UI practically the same as the N1. Funny thing to note is that running an3Dbench, the Desire scores 6100~ with DeFroST 3.7, but only 5200~ with its stock Froyo Sense UI build. Says something about the overheads of Sense UI IMO.

Those scores make sense :D
I really like the UI, widgets, apps, keyboard etc but hate the social integration bloat. As you say the overheads are too much.
