Hi not much of a phone type person, I am trying to find any decent password managers that actually work with android apps that save and autofill in the passwords with apps.

I tried keeper, bitwarden, google password manager (with autosave pass enabeled) all 3 failed on several different basic apps like Asda shopping, Email acccount app etc

Only nordpass and lastpass vaguely worked but not with all apps, is there an android password manager that actually works?

I find Bitwarden works most of the time. Sometimes opening it first, unlocking it then going to the app pokes it to life

Yes that was what I noticed, they all seem almost hit and miss even nord is similar it seems to almost forget there is an app running even its almost like the app needs to sense the gui or app is open to see the username/pass fields but it gets confused.

I would have thought there would be some kind of app running to sense it but lets see if other password managers are better at it.

Same here, no issues with Bitwarden. Depending on which Android skin you're using disabling battery optimisations for the app can get it to pick up apps better/faster (for apps not using the new Android auto fill API). Had to do it for a OnePlus phone but no issues on Pixel so far.

thanks for replies will give bitwarden another shot with those tips, I was playing around with keeper and nordpass and noticed you still need to goto the settings>apps and enable auto fill since its left off on the apps which is odd since that is the whole point of the app! Should be defaulted to on really.

Not all apps being installed or run even ask you but I think nord did, could also be some settings within the settings of the apps to tinker and tweak to get it to detect apps better so will try that too.
