Hi guys,

As above, are there any options Android to adjust your screens sensitivity? I can't see anything obvious

On Lollipop and Marshmallow.

Thanks.

Generally no - some devices have what Kona mentioned i.e. on my Note 4 can both boost sensitivity and glove mode but seems to be a per manufacturer thing not a general android option.

Sometimes you can find the option hidden away in a service menu or the android developer/debug options which often have to be unlocked via various mechanisms like tapping on the build number 7 times.

Just glove mode on some phone is all I have seen. What's the problem?

It's a 2nd gen Moto G, my Mum's. It just seems super sensitive! I figured it had to have been something she'd done :D

She has a tempered glass screen protector on it, wouldn't be that would it?!

It's possible your mum is hovering her finger over the screen too close and this is causing enough of a response (it works via electrical charge) to make it "feel" super sensitive. Synaptics are the company behind 99% of digitisers (thing that recognises your finger) used today and while they expose a lot of controls to phone manufacturers (eg centre point calculation, amount of touching stuff to recognise as touch, how to recognise palms etc...) most phone manufacturers use the same level of response so people can all use phones in the same way.
