Android users - best task manager

Using the free one called advanced task killer at the moment but when I use it to shutdown Google maps it still shows as using 9% of the battery when I check in the phone settings. Anything better out there and.don't mind paying for one?

let android handle it, and be careful with 'battery' monitoring apps to - unless you're refering to the readouts from android itself then you're further draining the battery by running them!

Dont use task killers they strain the cpu too much to benefit the purpose of task killers
use auto memory manager on medium,

The Android battery data shows actual battery life used, not using. So maps used 9% of battery life but that doesn't necessarily mean its there anymore.

Further, Android will launch apps when it thinks the apps need to do something.
I have taskiller but I don't have it autokilling anything. I use it only when I detect a problem and otherwise leave the Android memory manager to it.

I was using the one built into android yeah.

Ahh I thought it showed what it was using right now so that clears that up. Where is the android memory manager or is it something that runs in the background?

It's an integral process that closes other processes when the memory is needed for something else. Autokiller (which needs root access) can be used to modify the trigger values that determine when the memory manager kills processes.

I Use taskiller .. Cause my phone does get slow and all sorts of apps are tuning that I haven't opened, and that's pretty annoying may be removing some.. tune wiki is one

I Use battery left for battery does this drain the battery itself?
