Hi,

So, my new boss has asked me to look at creating an internal newsletter.

Wasn't a problem, a simple PDF would do.

Then he wanted it to look as if pages were flipping over when people read it.

Now, it'd be nice if it had the ability to hold audio and video.

So, I was thinking PDF, then ebook (but they'd need an ebook reader), then maybe a html5 newsletter webpage only accessible to internal staff.

How would you approach this if you were asked? Looking for ideas I've not considered.

This smells of scope creep and unrealistic expectations.

So before you go down that track:

- Will anyone read it
- Are there people lined up to create all the sexy audio and video content, let alone the text
- Will your company network bandwidth handle the load once you host it somewhere
- Is there a budget to pay for it all

I'd want to start small and cheap with the PDF and go from there.

The page flip would get old real fast ... just a waste of time in my opinion !

I assume the video/audio content you're going to be using has already been created/published on an online platform such as YT already and you'll embed these in the PDF?

I think one of the flipbook type services is what you're after. Flipsnack came up when I just did a search, their premium service handles embedded video/audio.
