animating an image

Hi all,

I have the following wedding booklet from the last wedding I photographed, and I'd like to add more to the standard sideshows that I do.

I'd like to be able to create a small video of the silver heart flowers growing upwards from the bottom of the page and then blossoming, issue is.. how is it best to do it?

It's all new to me but love learning new things/software/techniques so any suggestions?

You've got a few options. The fastest way is probably AfterEffects or Flash. Have the stems grow upwards and then the flowers pop in.

A really fancy way of doing it would be to model the flowers in 3D and animate them. I would recommend Blender for this, but the complexity is higher than the above.
